Posthumous Awarding of Degree or Certificate
Administrative Procedure 4.604
In the unfortunate event of the death of a currently enrolled student, the process outlined in Administrative Procedure, Death of a Student/Former Student 4.406 will be followed.
In addition, the student’s academic record will be reviewed by the records office for graduation eligibility.
- If the student was enrolled in their final semester before graduating, faculty will be asked to submit the final grades, if available.
- If the requirements for the student’s active program(s) are met, the degree(s) or certificate(s) will be conferred at the end of the semester.
- The diploma will be mailed to the family.
