Upcoming Radiography Information Session Events
We are now in full fledged fall, and all the wonderful research flurry that goes along with it! On display this month are a variety of topics to pique your reading and viewing interest. On first floor, we want to acknowledge Native American History month with our display outside the KTC. Additional materials are available through our Indigenous Peoples of North America research guide. It is also National Aviation History Month, and the display features some fascinating looks at this topic--for example, do you know about Bessie Coleman? The Tuskegee Airmen? the U.S. Special forces? the first pilots to deliver U.S. mail by air? These books cover those questions and more! Did you know it is also Vegan Month? Our lively display has lots of resources to help you explore this healthy living alternative. Look for the fun, dancing vegetables. We "moustache" you to check our our No Shave November display--right by 1st floor reference. Some good moustaches on display! Additionally, on first floor we continue to add new wellness works and materials--check it out by the computer lab. AND...we are still Bewitched by our book selection behind the Reference Desk. On second floor, we have a Books to Movies display--both the book and the movie it is based upon are available! Both fiction and nonfiction are represented. So you can read and watch both the Fantastic Mr. Fox or Freakonomics! At the top of the steps you will see our Best YA--these are books that have been selected by celebrated Young Adult authors and compiled through TIME magazine.
